I’m on the train heading back to Cambridge.
Beginning of this week I got another virus that lasted a couple of days, but otherwise I’ve been mainly feeling bouncy and energetic. Thyroid dose falling slightly.
I think I've probably gained a bit of weight (no idea though). I can't really remember what hunger feels like any more, but I've not been obviously overeating, so I'll be surprised if tomorrow morning's scale reading is up 3kg like it was last time.
I started to go a bit nocturnal, so I've been taking melatonin (300ug, see https://slatestarcodex.com/2018/07/10/melatonin-much-more-than-you-wanted-to-know/) regularly at 1900 for the last week and over the course of the week that's put me back on an approximately normal-person schedule, heading for bed around 2300 and waking up naturally at around 0900.
Excited to see how your Xmas Mom Test went. I weighed myself the entire time and stayed relatively on-plan. If not entirely, there were certainly more exceptions than the rest of the year combined, lol. But never ad-lib protein, never a whole steak. Pretty much no seed oils except 1 time I know of, and I did eat some pork and chicken a few times, but again not that much. So the damage was limited, but then I apparently have 10x the capacity for weight gain that you do.
