Last day of bumps was Friday 19th July, the day after my massive birthday bender. Big party. Stayed up until 0400 and drank too much to count, woke up feeling a bit hungover but rapidly cheered up with coffee.
I haven't stopped drinking all week. Shakespeare Festival. July is Hell.
I haven't paid much attention to what I've been eating. I remember a lot of cheese on toast and some black puddings. Lots of milk. Many fried eggs. Distilled vinegar also seems to be able to give me headaches. Sigh.
So probably a mix of carbs, fat, protein, alcohol and sulphites.
A couple of times I've woken up feeling 'stupid', according to my disordered notes, and then cheered up after a couple of hours and some coffee and been fine. But it doesn't seem obviously alcohol-related.
Generally I think I've been fine and if my mind doesn't have quite the sharp edge it had during the keto/carbosis weeks I'm clearly ok. Maybe a bit duller than I'd like. I've got lost in biochemistry a couple of times, and written a couple of essays, but it's not the full blown obsession that it was.
I think I'm suffering from fatigue a bit, but not so as I'd call myself ill, just not as lively as I was on the borders of the swamp. It might be all the vodka, though.
I've been consistently too hot, walking around shirtless a lot of the time, and I'm now taking only a tiny quarter-grain of thyroid most mornings, and sometimes not even that. Calculated exogenous thyroid dose is now about a tenth of what it once was. Apart from the fatigue and dullness of spirit, I've got no other thyroid symptoms either high or low.
And my weight has dropped a full kilo over the last week, for no reason. Which is just mental. If you were doing a starvation diet that would be worryingly fast.
I have no explanation. I didn't change anything! Maybe vodka and staying up late is the secret?
I vote yes on the vodka diet!
I think it might be the Shakespeare Festival. I find that King John if you can see it results low weight. I saw it in my twenties and my weight was about 150 lbs. Timon of Athens was much later resulting in a weight of about 200 lbs. The Tempest with Christopher Plummer was very satisfying but weight took a big hit that year. Maybe O Wilde …...
