Traditionally hummus is chickpeas, tahini, lemon and garlic. And the modern stuff has rapeseed oil instead of the tahini. (To the point that even before I decided that PUFAs might be bad I preferred the taste of the low-fat stuff because it's not rank with 'vegetable' oil)
What's it like with olive oil instead of tahini? I might try making coconut-oil hummus! Or maybe mashing chickpeas with butter and salt and lemon and garlic (gosh that sounds nice now I think about it).
Oh yes! I find Brad to be a bit too prone to conspiracy-izing and cherry-picking studies for my tastes, but I love him for his biochemistry and his theorizing and digging up relevant stuff. He's doing great work.
