A slight reduction in thyroid dose controlled the problem I was getting with overheating, and my fatigue issues although not quite gone seem to be improving. I've had a couple of afternoon naps in the last three weeks but mostly my recent notes seem to either say 'fine all day' or 'hangover'. There've been several days recently when I didn't get tired at all, bounced out of bed singing around 0800, did a full day's work including about an hour of cycling, came home still feeling energetic and carried on doing things all evening.
I know this is how people normally are, but for me this sort of thing is a distant memory of good health. In the last ten years or so I've only really felt that kind of inexhaustible energy in ketosis. But I'm not in ketosis now, I feel like my metabolism is actually working as designed.
My blood pressure seems to be rising alarmingly, and I've seen some scary readings during the day, but pulse pressure which is probably what we really care about from a 'saturated fat clogs the arteries' point of view is stable at around 50, which I think is roughly where it should be.
Weight is still behaving really weirdly. Falling and rising for no apparent reason. Seven day average is currently 96.7, which is roughly where it was three weeks ago. It went a bit higher than that and now seems to be coming back down. I've no idea why.
Last night I drank an absolute bucket of whisky in the service of the Muses, stayed up until about four in the morning and woke up this lunchtime still wearing some of my clothes at 95.2 kg, fully 1.5kg down from the usual. I'm wondering if my poor scales suffered during the debauch.
I have taken the day off work. I am currently sitting outside a pub with a book and a coffee and praying for death. Scotch as a weight-loss plan doesn't really seem sustainable however effective.

> I know this is how people normally are
Wait, what?
But seriously, I wish we had a good way to compare how "feeling normal" feels for other people, vs. ourselves.
