You know what this sounds a lot like? Diabetes for protein.

Ooh do explain? I am definitely thinking 'type 2 diabetes but for thyroid', but I've been thinking that for a long time. 'thyroid resistance' is just another way of saying 'clogged metabolism'.

T1D is "huh, weird, the beta cells in the pancreas just kinda stopped working."

T2D is a bit more systematic: "huh, weird, all these mitochondriae all over the body kinda stopped working well."

Maybe yours is "huh, weird, these thyroid gland cells just kinda stopped working."

Maybe my Non-24 is "huh, weird, these cells in the suprachiasmic nucleus just kinda stopped working."

Maybe oxidized cell phospholipids are just a shotgun blast to the body, and it hits different people in different places. Mitochondriae (is that even how you spell the plural?) are in every cell in the body, so it's not unlikely that it'd be by far the most common ailment.

Finally a question I can answer! It's greek, mitochondrion is the singular and mitochondria is already the plural. A bit like phenomenon/phenomena. But double-check me, this is a day for mistakes and I'm suddenly in a tearing hurry. Byeee!
