That’s an easy one since Brad from Fireinabottle discussed it already. BCAAS in particular get transformed into specific fatty acids which can make you more insulin resistant when metabolically unhealthy.

I don’t remember all the exact details anymore but they simply worsen your already PUFA induced insulin resistance somehow. So High PUFA+High BCAAS=Maximum torpid metabolism. That’s why you feel a little better on a low protein diet
