I am curious how you would feel in "carbosis" aka high carb low everything else. That's where I've been hanging out the last week and it has all the things I liked about keto but without the "thin" feeling to the energy and the freedom to eat whatever starchy sugary things appeal. I need to write up a reddit post about it.
Yes, I've been wondering the same thing. What eez thees 'swamp', exactly? Could it be that for some reason the glycolysis-blocking doesn't work if there's a really huge amount of carbs around and no incoming fat? Is it maybe something to do with always having free carbs around and not having to disassemble glycogen? I am even more confused than usual.
So many things I want to try, and want other people to try. Write the post!

Hmm........, is it possible that the glycolysis blocking is in fact glycogen-lysis blocking? I wouldn't put it past us to have got those two mixed up.
I do not know enough about the biochemistry of it to comment on the glycolysis bits! But in terms of the black box, the energy and moods that come out with this carbosis input is incredible. I think they say it's the Randle cycle that makes the swamp? I do know I feel physically heavier and more lethargic with both fats and carbs in my stomach together.
It feels like early days cause I'm only a week and a half into it actually clicking into gear, but I still want to report my findings.
So interesting- I’ve never even been able to get deep in ketosis so far - even when fasting ( or fat fasting ). Anything above .5 is ‘high’ for me and never seen a 1.x or above. I do feel like taking a small amount of exogenous ketones in the morning gives me clarity similar to drinking caffeine (which I’ve dropped completely) but still never managed to test at point where tested high even from that. Drinking them in afternoon or night just keeps me up similar to caffeine.
I was just thinking that it might work to just take ketones rather than having to avoid all carbs.... Got any good links or essays, or any advice you'd like to give...? Just saying....
For that matter, I've no idea what my ketone blood levels are, the effect is so obvious for me on ex150ish (rapid weight loss and sudden energy and clarity of mind) that I never felt the urge to buy a test kit. I may not be in ketosis at all. Who knows? I should probably check...
Weirdly, I've never had that feeling you describe when getting out of ketosis. The handful of times I have. When eating starch, I just felt... nothing. It wasn't different at all. Maybe a tiny bit of acid reflux, but then again I wasn't avoiding seed oils then.
When doing sugar, be it the accidental Starbucks frappuccino (85g sugar per serving) or the 75g sugar (!!!!! LESS THAN THE FRAPPUCCINO!!!!) oral glucose tolerance test, I just got a tiny bit of a high for 30 minutes or so. Just feeling euphoric and unable to concentrate, like a little kid.

Well I think that's how it should work!
With sugar, oh wow lots of excellent fuel has turned up unexpectedly, oh my god the thing's over-revving, turn the goddamned throttle down quick.
With starch, oh good lots of excellent fuel has turned up but it's still all wrapped up in its packaging, we'd better start unwrapping it.
Whereas for me, the first time I came out of ketosis I ate a couple of sausage rolls at a garden party and went to sleep in a chair. And then limped home and went to bed. And then woke up two hours later thinking 'party!' and went back and drank more than I have drunk for a very long time and stayed up till dawn.
And the second time I think I ate a lot of rice and started to feel very very tired and cycled home and passed out.
I think your glucose metabolism might be fine, or maybe you're so ketone-producy that you don't stop making them just because there's loads of glucose? Or something? As usual I have no clue and *notice that I am deeply confused*.
So why not just stay in ketosis?
Can you read my mind?! I thought it was too blurry for that at the moment. Where is my special hat?!

Start yourself a substack, write it up, and post to r/saturatedfat. We love anecdotes.
