For the last week I have eaten nothing but beef (one kilo exactly), plus ad lib chopped tomatoes, double cream, butter, coconut oil, curry powder and pickled cabbage. Also coffee and herbal teas (real tea without milk is just nasty).
Except that I cocked up yesterday and drank a glass of milk in a café without thinking because I’d had too much coffee, after which I felt really tired for two hours and then perked up again.
Apart from that all goes as expected, except that the energy and clarity I expected has only come in short bursts.
Generally I've been feeling unwell and fatigued. Part of that unwellness was a bit of a sniffle and a sore throat, so I may have had an actual virus rather than 'keto flu', or it may be a combination of both. I've also had a few mild headaches, but I was having occasional mild headaches all the time I was at home too so there may be something else going on. But I felt fine the week before this.
It was worse than the first time, despite my electrolyte pills:

but not nearly as bad as the second:

Anyway I feel absolutely fine today, bouncy and bright, my appetite is non-existent, and my weight is dropping like a stone.
So with any luck I'm now in the stable state which I remember so fondly:

We shall see.
I’ve been overheating. Twice I’ve woken up sweating. Thyroid doses have been dropped.
All goes roughly as expected in short.
The pickled cabbage is a new thing, but it fits nicely into the ex150ish definition

I really miss my home-made sauerkraut (sulphites from fermentation boo), so my Mum sent me her pickled cabbage recipe, which is basically: boil spices in vinegar (in little muslin bags), add lots more vinegar, and then put cabbage in it. You're supposed to then leave it to pickle but screw that, it tastes great anyway.
It's superb and I've eaten the lot, it goes really well with beef and tomato curry, and indeed with cream. Luckily once you've eaten the cabbage there's plenty of beautiful spiced vinegar left so you can put more cabbage in it. It tastes so good I don't think it's ever going to have time to actually pickle. It's just another everlasting pot of deliciousness that costs almost nothing to make.
Down 2kg, nice so far.
