So nine days ago, on the sixth of December, I hit 94.2kg, and despaired of my PUFAS/protein interaction idea, prompting the previous blogpost-of-doom.
After that I just decided to eat whatever for a while.
Last time I was in Sainsbury's I noticed a great pile of heavily discounted 'Taste the Difference' Beef Lasagnes. I don't each much processed food anymore, because it's all full of rapeseed oil, but I love lasagne, and the sight of this great stack of luxurious-looking ready meals for two at £1.50 (down from £8 each) made me actually check the ingredients.
And although the ingredients list was vast, there was nothing suspicious on there at all. So I bought three large lasagnes and roasted them all together in the oven, and that's pretty much what I've been eating this week, plus bread and butter and cheese and the usual beef stew.
Also I have got shit-faced on vodka three times in the last week. For it is Christmas, and in my culture we honour the Lord by getting so drunk that we actually express our feelings towards our dearest friends, and by making our heads hurt in the traditional manner, to remind us that emotions are for the weak.
Anyway as far as I can tell that's resulted in me dropping an entire kilo in a week.
But my thyroid dose, which has been dropping by force steadily for the last six months, has suddenly started rising rapidly. And this is real. I *feel* hypometabolic. Sad, cold, tired. My feet hurt. (Plantar fasciitis has always been a thyroid symptom for me).
I am mystified. Maybe I am just being fooled by noise here.
Sigh.
